Every Kenmore carries a three-digit prefix on its model number that identifies the real manufacturer. 110 is Whirlpool, 795 is LG, 253 is Frigidaire, and so on. Get that wrong and you order the wrong part, follow the wrong diagnostic and reach the wrong conclusion.
That single step is where most Kenmore repairs succeed or fail, and it is the first thing we do. Once the true platform is identified, a Kenmore is as repairable as the brand behind it — which is why we still fix a great many of them across the DC metro area long after the Sears stores closed.
